I fell in love with travel when I took  my first flight in a DC-3 and the pilot let me into the cockpit and sit at the controls, at age 8.

A native of the Pacific Northwest, including a communications degree from the University of Washington, I am blessed to be a part of such a beautiful place to live.  After graduation I entered the U.S. Air Force as an officer and served my country for six years, departing as a Captain.  During my Air Force career I met and married the love of my life Linda, and we are still together celebrating 45 years of partnership.

Afteer the military I spend several years in New York in the advertising and public relations field.  I was recruited to be the Assistant Director of Corporate Communications for the Northrop Corporation in Los Angeles.  Wishing to return to the Seattle area, I took a public relations director job with a large Seattle advertising agency which had both Alaska Airlines and Westours as accounts.  Knowing my love of travel, I was recruited to be Director of Public Relations for Holland America Line/Westours, and served in that capacity for nine years.

Having helped Holland America Line to be cruise line of the year from Conde Nast Traveler, I participating in that venerable company's growth into the modern era of cruise vacations.  While associated with Holland America I was able to experience what more than 100 years of history meant to such an iconic brand, as well as learning what true luxury cruising meant.

About 13 years ago, along with my partner Steve Sibley, we founded Cruise Holidays of Woodinville.  We have grown our business to the point where we have been named President Circle members five times--a mark of one of the top 20 Cruise Holiidays stores in North America.  We specialize in river cruises, luxury cruises and top end land vacations to places like Hawaii, Europe and South Pacific destinations.

My wife is a pastor at Washington Cathedral in Redmond, Washington, and we live in the Redmond Ridge area of Redmond along wtih our west highland terrier Vinnie, and Panther the cat.  And, my favorite cruise is my next one.
